Review & Swatches - Deborah Lippmann Glitter in the Air

Hey guys!
I'm back! And I'm now a certified professional manicurist/pedicurist!

My course was absolutely amazing and I'm SO glad that I decided to do it! I learned so much and hopefully I'll get a chance to share a lot of that knowledge with you guys. :) Unfortunately, taking 3 whole days out of this crucial week in my semester has put me way behind on a lot of school work so I now need to catch up which means that I won't be able to post as much as I would like to in the next week or so. However, my final exam is on the 11th of April so after that I'll be back full force!

Oh and for anyone wondering, I'm still waiting on a package from one more company so that I can get my giveaway up and running. I wasn't at home on Friday and when I finally did get home, there was a door tag from Purolator saying that I missed a package so I'm thinking that that must be the final package. I'll pick that up on Monday so my giveaway should be up early next week.

In the meantime, I did receive a small order this week from Made You Blush which is a great online site that ships brands such as Deborah Lippmann here in Canada. They're customer service is among the best I have ever dealt with so I highly recommend them! I only got a couple of things but what I was most excited about was the new polish by Deborah Lippmann called Glitter in the Air.

I've also added Glitter in the Air on top of the following polishes just to show you what it looks like when layered since some people might not like the sheerness of this polish on it's own.

What can I say, I'm absolutely in love with this colour - it's so dreamy looking!
It's extremely unique and I have nothing that comes anywhere close to this in my collection. The formula was very good and although it was very sheer, that's the point. Some might actually prefer the sheer look of this polish on it's own but I like it better when it's layered. I think my favourite layering combo I did was Glitter in the Air over Color Club Take Me To Your Chateau.
My swatch of this alone is 3 coats while the swatches of the other colours are 2 coats each with 2 coats of Glitter in the Air on top. As with most glitter polishes, it's best to wait a minute or so in between coats so that you don't push all the glitter to the tip of the nail.

What do you guys think? Are you as in love with this one as I am?

  1. Such a gorgeous polish! It actually looks good on it's own and I don't usually like sheer polishes. Of all the layered colours, I think it looks best over the revlon one:)

  2. It's beautiful. I don't usually like sheer nail polish, but this one is one cute and magical! I love it layered over opaque blues too.
