Featured Blog - July: Nail Stories and NOTD

Hey guys!

For my newer followers who haven't seen one of my featured blog posts before, here's a little information about them:

Back when I reached 1000 followers, I wanted to do something for my followers but since I had just finished a huge giveaway, I didn't want to do another one right away. So instead, I decided to give back by using my small amount of success to help other bloggers gain more readership. I started featuring what I believe to be up and coming beauty/nail blogs in the hopes of helping some of the lesser known bloggers get their names out there a little more.

I've only been doing this for 3 months now but it's been hugely successful and I receive emails almost every day with a suggestion for a new blog that I should check out!

So this month I found myself really busy with other blog posts and I had completely forgotten about my monthly featured blog until today so I quickly scrambled to try to weed through the number of emails that you have all been sending me with suggestions for blogs that I should feature.

I realized that I wasn't going to be able to get through all of the emails and check out all of the blogs you have been suggesting so I just decided to ask my polish friends on Facebook to suggest one great nail blog that deserves more attention. Fortunately, first one that was suggested was a winner!

However, when I was going through my reader afterwards, I came across a post that really wowed me and made me wonder why I hadn't featured this girl's blog before. So, I decided to do 2 featured blogs for the month of July!

Here's a sneak peak of some of the work by these two ladies:

Keep reading for more information about these two great bloggers!

First up is Nail Stories.
I wasn't originally following this blog and only found out about it through someone else's suggestion but I am very glad this blog was suggested to me!

This girl does a mix of freehand and stamping nail art, her photos are very crisp and clean, her swatches are colour accurate and her manicures are very neat and clean (something which you all know is very important to me).
Furthermore, her blog's layout is very clean and easy to navigate. Lately I've been seeing too many busy looking blogs and it turns me off from reading the posts because I'm distracted by everything else surrounding the actual posts.

Here's a look at some of her other work:

Look familiar? She used my Hello Kitty tutorial to create her design and it came out really awesome! I'm so happy to see that my tutorials are helpful.

Next up is NOTD which is a blog that I have been following for a while but has somehow slipped past my radar. That is, until I saw a post yesterday that blew my mind (the fish inspired look above).
That one post made me sit down and go back through many of her posts and I knew that this blog had to be featured.

She does a mixture of posts from the type of avant-garde makeup you saw above to more wearable makeup looks to reviews and swatches as well as nail art! She's a chameleon and extremely talented at what she does.

Here's a look at some of her other work:

SO amazing!
