Jewelry Storage - Part 1: Bracelets

Hey guys!

I just want to take a quick moment to thank you all for the really sweet comments that you've been leaving in your giveaway entries - you're all so nice and I'm very lucky to have you as followers.

In addition, I have had more than a couple of people say that they liked it when I did a couple of jewelry posts a while back and that they would like to see more of those, so I thought that I would show you guys how I organize and store my jewelry.

One of my most requested posts is a nail polish collection/storage post and I promise that that is coming soon, I'm just waiting on a few packages that were delayed due to the Canada Post strike. However in the meantime, hopefully these jewelry storage posts will suffice. :)

I'm going to start with how I store my bracelets - I store them on a velvet bracelet stand that I got from eBay.

They're not really that organized on the stand except for the fact that I tried to keep the bangles on one side and the chunkier bracelets on the other, but as you can see there's some spillover of the bigger bracelets onto the bangle side.

Now, I only keep my fashion jewelry on this stand - my more expensive jewelry is all kept in a small jewelry box. I also have a few extra bracelets that wouldn't fit on this so I think I'm going to go ahead and get another one of these just to keep everything consistent.

Like I said, I got this stand on eBay and I paid a total of $5.55, including shipping. I thought that was a pretty sweet deal considering the fact that I've seen these stands at Michael's for about $16 a piece.

Here's a link to the seller who I got this from and by the looks of it, they sell a bunch of other jewelry organizers as well. I'm still looking for something to store my rings in/on so I'm going to browse through their store now and see if there's anything appropriate for ring storage.

So that's it for how I store my bracelets - it's pretty simple but I really like the look of it. I think it looks really classy and organized and it's a big improvement from the plastic container that they used to be thrown in.

Keep an eye out for how I store my necklaces, earrings and eventually my rings once I find a suitable storage solution for those.

How do you guys store your bracelets?

  1. Mine are thrown in a drawer lol I don't own many... I hate things on my wrists! I love how you organized yours, though, and they're all so pretty!

  2. I love it! Mine are currently being stored on this jewelry tree from bed bath and beyond.
(http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=15984570) I really like it, but as my jewelry collection grows I've had to pick and choose what pieces hang on 'the tree' and put the rest elsewhere.

  6. Brooke: Thanks!

Cassandra: That jewelry tree is really cute! Sadly we don't have a Bed Bath & Beyond here but I'm going to check out eBay to see if there's anything similar to that tree because I really like it! Thanks for the link. :)

Lindsey R.: Tell me about it! That's why eBay has become my BFF.

Keri: That was my problem, too. My bracelets and rings were thrown in a plastic food storage container, my necklaces were in a drawer (bad idea because it was a real pain trying to untangle them), and my earrings were in an old Q-tip box, haha. I like this way because now I can actually display everything.

Hadia: Thanks! I got all of those ones at Wal-Mart. :)

  7. so pretty! I have all of my necklaces and bracelets on a huge peg board but now that I'm moving it'll be too big...so I may need something like this!

  9. Olivia Frescura: As you'll be seeing in an upcoming post, I use a peg board type storage system for my necklaces! It's a great way of storing/displaying them. :)

Dana: Thanks! Turquoise jewelry has really become a favourite of mine recently!

  11. HI...I know you said that Michaels was expensive...but during their sales, you get some good deals on jewellery organizers and they sometimes have unique ones that you don't find on ebay. Check it out if you have not been there. I also saw some nice organizers (hanging and stands) at Home Sense.
