Review & Swatches - OPI Touring America Collection

Hey guys!

I have had these polishes for a few weeks now but I just haven't gotten around to posting the review/swatches until now. However, since I now have some Christmas polishes that I want to start reviewing (and that you guys seem to want to see asap), I figured I should probably finish reviewing all of the fall polishes I have around first.

Because I'm much later than everyone else in reviewing these and you've probably all seen these polishes a hundred times already, I didn't go into as much detail as I usually would in my reviews.

Keep reading for the review and swatches!

Overall, I hate to say it but this collection was a bit of a snooze fest for me. I think the colour selection was lacking uniqueness and the variety of finishes really left something to be desired. For a 12 piece collection I would have liked to see more than just cremes and shimmers, especially when all of the shimmer finishes were close in colour and the shimmer was the same in all of them (subtle gold shimmer). Also, almost all of the creme shades dried darker than they looked in the bottle which was disappointing for me.

With that said, the formula for all of these was easy to work with and most of the shades only required 2 coats for full opacity (only the shimmer shades required 3 coats).

I also appreciate the names for the polishes of this collection! My favourites names are are Uh-Oh Roll Down the Window, Honk If You Love OPI and I Brake for Manicures.

My favourite colours are Road House Blues, Suzi Takes the Wheel, Honk If You Love OPI and I Brake for Manicures but I still don't think any of those are truly unique. However, if you don't have a large stash of nail polish like some of us, this collection offers some good staple shades that might be worth picking up.

The OPI Touring American Collection is available now in professional salons and each lacquer retails for anywhere between $6-$10, depending on where you live and where you manage to find your polishes. The Touring America Collection will be available as open stock colours so there's no need to worry about your favourite shade selling out and not returning.

What do you guys think of the Touring America Collection? Have you picked up any of the shades yet? And if you have any requests for comparisons, please let me know in the comments.
