The theme for Day 8 is metallic nails and I decided to give the braided manicure another try!
You guys seemed to enjoy my last braided design, and I did as well, so I've been wanting to try it again using a completely different colour scheme.
The base colour for this is China Glaze Cheers To You - a straight up silver foil polish. The other colours are Orly Glitz & Glamour and Wet 'n' Wild Black Creme. One of the keys to this look is that you must choose one-coater/opaque polishes so that you're able to cover up the previous braid of polish.

As I said in my last braided manicure post, this technique is actually pretty easy to execute! It just requires a bit of patience because you have to wait for each braid of polish to be tacky/near dry before moving on to the next braid.

So that's eight down, twenty-three more to go!
Tomorrow's theme is rainbow nails and you all know how I love my rainbow manicures! :D See you then!
These are so pretty! I love your choice of colors! :)
ReplyDeleteVery awesome! I keep meaning to do this style of mani but can't seem to decide on a colour scheme. I may have to copy this soon ;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I know everyone says this is easy but I tried it once and it was n EPIC FAIL! lol Maybe it was my colors...idk.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is lovely. I'm very impressed.
ReplyDeleteThese look awesome. Fantastic braids :) xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I tried a braided mani recently but it ended up being so thick with all the layers of polish, I need to sort out some good one-coaters before I try again :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteI love those colors together! I've never tried the braided manicure before. I'm so sure that I'll fail if i try, and I like the thought that I might be a natural talent when it comes to this manicure, haha :)
