A (Mostly) Monochromatic Splatter Mani

Hi everyone!

This was supposed to go up earlier today but I forgot to schedule it, so it's going up now! This is the manicure that I've been wearing for the past few days and it's gotten a ton of compliments!

For this splatter mani, I started with a base of China Glaze Recycle. The splatters were done using Wet 'n' Wild Black Creme, Wet 'n' Wild French White and Zoya Lara. I was originally going to keep this as a monochromatic look and just use the black, white and grey, but I thought it could use a splash of colour, which is why I added the pink.

Oh and I used a coffee stirring stick instead of the usual straw because I just find that easier and I like the resulting splatters a lot more that way.

I actually mattified this look after a couple of days and the result was interesting, but I think I prefer it as you see here. I wish I had snapped a photo of the matte look so you could compare.

Hope you all had a great weekend and thanks for looking!

  9. Love this - glad you added the Zoya pink - it really finishes it off...I just picked up some of those tiny straws used for coffee stiring to do some spatter manis - have not done any since last summer.

  10. This looks so fabulous!! Excellent call on adding the pink! The last time I tried a splatter mani it just looked like a clown exploded, so I've been pocketing coffee stir-straws to try again. ;)
