I have my first Christmas nail art design of 2012 for you today!
For the past 2 years I've done a snowflake design as my inaugural Christmas mani, so I decided to continue with that tradition this year! However, both of my past snowflake designs used traditional snowflake colours (ie: blue, white and silver), so this time I switched it up and used red and gold instead.
The base colour here is Color Club Berry and Bright which is from the Winter Affair Collection that I showed you just a couple of days ago. I used my small nail art brush to freehand on the gold snowflake using Orly Glitz & Glamour. Using a small dotting tool, I added a few gold dots around the snowflake.
I probably could have taken this a step further and did something extra to the non-accent nails, but I like this colour of red so much that I honestly didn't want to cover it up!
I do have a tutorial for this snowflake design so you can check that out here. And since I've taken on the task of revamping all of my tutorials, I'll have an edited snowflake one up soon with illustrations on my own nails instead of the nail wheels. I'll try to have that one up asap since it's currently my only Christmas tutorial.
I don't have many other Christmas design ideas in mind yet, but I'm sure I'll come up with something!
Thanks for looking!
