Today I have a fairly new indie brand to share with you! It's called Neener Neener Nails (cute name, hey?) and they were kind enough to send me a few of their polishes to try out.
Before showing you the polishes, let's take a look at the packaging. Each polish is individually wrapped really nicely. When I see things like that, I know that a lot of care goes into the brand, which is great.
Now onto the polishes! I had a hard time narrowing down my selection because I did find a lot of shades that I would like to try, but I ended up choosing these five.
Santa's Lil Devil is a red jelly base with small red hex glitters. The red glitters peek through the base and create a really pretty, glowy look. The formula was on the thick side (like most jelly polishes), but not at all difficult to work with. My swatch shows two coats.
Sassy Girl is a midnight blue base with small blue hex glitters. This one is the same idea as Santa's Lil Devil, except the base isn't a jelly. At first I thought this was going to be a problem because the glitters weren't able to show through the dark base, so it just had a sort of lumpy look. However, once I added top coat, that all changed. The blue glitters peek through to give a cool lit-from-within look. Very pretty. The formula was thick, but not difficult and my swatch is two coats.
Sparkles is a mutil-coloured glitter top coat. This isn't totally unique, but still really pretty. I'm shown one coat over OPI You Only Love Twice. The formula was easy to work with and the glitter flowed nicely.
T.G.I.F is a clear base with small black and gold hex glitters. I've shown two coats here layered over OPI Skyfall, but it's not my favourite combination. I think I'd prefer it over something a little more blingy. The formula was good and I didn't have to do any fishing or placing of the glitters.
Twinkles is a light purple tinted base with small purple and white hex glitters as well as larger turquoise diamond glitters. I've shown 2 coats here layered over China Glaze Sweet Hook and I'm totally in love with this combination! Definitely my favourite of these five shades. Unfortunately, the diamond glitters were quite elusive and I had to so some real fishing to get them out. But for me, the end result was worth it. Turquoise and purple?! Of course I'm a fan!
Neener Neener Nails polishes can be purchased via their Etsy shop and all full size (15ml) polishes are on sale for $6 right now! You can also keep up with them on Facebook.
