Today I have another of my polish Christmas gifts to share with you! This time it's the Lime Crime Les Desserts d'Antoinette Collection, which I have been dying to get my hands on ever since swatches first started popping up. I missed a restock or two on Harlow & Co., but finally snagged them right before Christmas.
Swatches and review after the jump!
Crema de Limon is a slightly brighter than pastel lemon creme. The application was a bit streaky on the first coat, which is pretty much the standard for yellow polishes. But it did even out after the second coat.
Lavendairy is a pastel lavender creme. This is a great creamy purple that covers great in two easy coats. I can see this being an awesome base colour for lots of very me style nail art designs!
Milky Ways is a light vanilla creme. After having this on, I know now that this definitely should have been included in my Top 10 Polishes of 2012. But because this collection was a Christmas gift, I didn't have them when I was doing up that post. From seeing swatches and looking just at the bottles, I really thought that Pastelchio was going to be my hands down favourite, so my lovely fiance allowed me to swatch that one early for my Top 10 post.
And although I still really love that one, this one has definitely become my new fave from this collection. I swear, it's like french vanilla ice cream in a bottle! I think I might even snag a back-up bottle, which is something I rarely do. And as if I needed to say anything else positive about this, the formula was great as well. My swatch shows two easy coats.
Once in a Blue Mousse is a light, pastel blue creme. It's actually a little more of a Tiffany blue than a straight up blue, so that was a nice surprise since I personally prefer it that way. The formula was once again great and my I've shown two coats in my swatch.
Parfait Day is a vibrant, pastel pink creme. This is ever so slightly blue-toned, which I find works well with my skin tone. Lime Crime's website says that this shade is reminiscent of a strawberry milkshake and I couldn't agree more! The formula was very easy to work with and I used two coats for my swatch. I'm planning a mani with this shade today so have be on the lookout for that!
Pastelchio is a bright, almost neon, yet still pastel lime green creme. As you already know, I really love this shade. Green is one of my favourite polish colours, and I've always been a fan of neons, so this was a big winner for me. Once again, the formula was great and my swatch shows two coats.
Peaches ♥ Cream is a bright, yet still pastel peach creme. I love how surprisingly bright this one turned out to be! The formula was really good and my swatch shows two coats.
Overall, this is a fantastic debut nail polish collection from Lime Crime! My absolute top pick is Milky Ways, but I honestly think the whole collection is stellar. I really hope to see more nail polish from them in the future!
The Lime Crime Les Desserts d'Antoinette Collection is available for US residents on the Lime Crime website and from Harlow & Co. for Canadian and other international buyers.
