Swatch Spam - A Few Illamasqua Cremes

Hey guys!

Happy Friday! What does everyone have planned for the weekend? We don't have any exciting plans, but I have a lot of swatching to catch up on, so that's on the top of my priority list. I'll also spend a significant amount of time practicing gel nail enhancements on my trainer hand for my gel nails course. Aside from all that, I think David and I will also rent a few movies and just hang out at home.

Anyways, today I have a few Illamasqua swatches to share with you! I got all four of these while I was on vacation recently and I actually would have bought a lot more but the Sephora in Halifax didn't have a huge Illamasqua selection. I pretty much already owned most of what they had, so I just picked up these four that I didn't already own.

Cameo is a vivid cornflower blue creme. It actually has periwinkle leanings as well. Great creamy formula and requires just two coats for opacity. This is a limited edition shade that was released in conjunction with Noble, another blue shade, which you can also see a swatch of below.

Jo'Mina is a medium lilac creme. Super pretty with an excellent formula. Not totally unique, but I'm always happy to add pretty purple cremes to my stash because they make their way into nail art quite a bit. I needed just two coats for full opacity.

Milf is a light pistachio creme. First of all, LOLs at the name. Second, my nails are a bit shorter in this photo than the others because I wore this for a few days right after my vacation, while the others I swatched this week. Anyways, this is a lovely colour that I think is perfect for the upcoming spring season. The formula was great and my swatch is two coats.

Noble is a vibrant cyan blue creme. Ooh, I love a bright blue! Especially one with an excellent formula and coverage. This could be a one coater if you're careful, but I always like to do two just to make sure everything is even. I'm picturing this baby with some stud accents, already! My next mani, maybe?

Illamasqua polishes can be purchased from the Illamasqua website. And for those of us outside the UK, you can also find Illamasqua at Sephora stores and Sephora online.

Thanks for looking!

  1. Love illamasqua polishes!!! Lemming Jo'Mina so bad :)

  2. This is the rare case when I really like all the polishes you swatched! :) Could not pick one or two favourites, all of them are sooo beautiful and perfect for spring!

  3. Kayla, do you think there is a Jo'Mina dupe? I'm seriously swithering about whether or not I can justify buying it haha. I've read a lot about lot about it being 'almost neon' and so pretty unique...but you seem a bit less excited about it so feel free to talk me down! ;)

    1. Hmm, it seems dupe-able to me, but then again I haven't tried comparing it with any of my other purple creme polishes. Let me do a quick look through my stash and see what I come up with. :)

    2. Alright, it turns out that I don't have any exact dupes after all. I snapped a quick photo of a few purple cremes lined up next to Jo'Mina, so I can email that to you if you'd like.
The closest of the ones I own seems to be OPI Do You Lilac It, which is not as vibrant, but the overall colour is close. Color Club Pucci-licious is also close, but definitely darker.

    3. Thank so much for doing that! You're a wee star! Would love to see the photo - I don't have either of those anyway, though, so I'll probably end up caving and getting it haha.

  4. I <3 Illamasqua polishes. Noble is such a gorgeous color X_x

  5. Gorgeous shades! really love the lilac! x

  6. Milf is just gorgeous, I think I need it in my life, I've never seen such a pretty light green and I have quite a few of them :)

  7. I own Jomina, but I've had Milf on the back of my to buy just jumped tp the front :) Great post! I just love Illamasqua polishes.

  8. So pretty!!! I love Milf. :O

  9. gah I hate to say it, but I love Milf, lol. So hard to say that. It's gorgeous though!
