I really pulled out all the stops coming up with that title, didn't I? I don't know why but I just had such a hard time naming this nail art design! Oh well, it's pretty and that's all that matters, right?
I've really been feeling pastel polishes lately, so I knew I wanted to use pastels in today's nail art. But besides that, I had no idea what my design was going to be. So I just sat down, pulled out some pastels and got to work. Luckily the design evolved into something that I really like!
Many of my favourite pastel polishes are from China Glaze, so I chose to use all China Glaze polishes for this design. Starting with my index nail and moving towards my pinky, the base colours are China Glaze Lemon Fizz, Re-fresh Mint, Something Sweet and Kinetic Candy.
Once the pastels were semi-dry, I used a medium length striper brush to block off half of each nail with China Glaze White on White. Finally, I used a medium sized dotting tool and added some black dots to the white sections of each nail using China Glaze Liquid Leather.
I really like the contrast between the harsh black and white and the soft pastel shades. I think it makes this design very visually appealing. I only had this design on for one day and I was really sad to remove it!
Thanks for looking!
