Continuing on with Texture Week, today I have Part II of my OPI Bond Girls Collection swatches! I showed you Part I when OPI sent me a few shades to try out, and I waited for the remaining shades to show up at my local beauty supply so that I could show you the entire collection. So let's take a look at Honey Ryder, Solitaire and Vesper! You can see my swatches of Jinx, Pussy Galore and Tiffany Case here.
Honey Ryder is a light metallic gold with tiny gold and silver glitter throughout. I don't wear a lot of gold polish because I find a lot of them are too warm for my skin tone, but this one is an exception. In fact, I'm wearing it right now with some nail art! I'll show you that tomorrow. The formula was on the thick side, but still very easy to work with. It's a very opaque polish and you could easily get away with just one coat.
Solitaire is a pearly silver-white with silver microglitter. The base is on the frosty side, similar to Pussy Galore, but it dries down really nice and the texture sort of overwhelms the frostiness. The formula was great and I've shown two coats below.
Vesper is a deep eggplant purple jelly base with lots of tiny black glitter pieces. I really like this one! The jelly base makes it unique and the black glitter gives it almost a leather-like look. Although, I might be a little biased towards this one because Casino Royale is one of my favourite Bond movies. The formula was really great and my swatch shows two coats.
Overall, I really like all six shades in this collection, although my top picks would have to be Jinx and Vesper.
The OPI Bond Girls Collection is available now at Professional Salons and Spas for $10.95 CAN ($9.00 US) suggested retail for each lacquer. They're also available online at shops such as Nail Polish Canada.
