Nicole by OPI Gumdrops - Lemon Lolly & That's What I Mint

Hey there!

Not too long ago I posted swatches of the Nicole by OPI Gumdrops Collection, which is Nicole by OPI's take on the popular textured polish trend. I mentioned that I had a couple of other Gumdrops polishes to share with you as well, so that's what I have today.

These two shades weren't in the original press release for the Gumdrops Collection, but I have seen them alongside the rest of the colours in store displays, so my best guess is that they were late additions to the collection. Let's take a look.

Lemon Lolly is a bright sunshine yellow packed with lots of fine yellow glitter. I thought for sure that this was going to be sheer and thick, but the formula was actually quite good. It applies nicely and provides full coverage with three coats. It looks like coloured sugar on my nails!

That's What I Mint is a deep teal with fine gold, green and blue glitter throughout. This definitely isn't a colour that I would call mint, but I'm willing to forgive that because this is an awesome shade. The colour is completely up my alley to begin with, but the added complexity with the different colours of glitter really make this one special. It's definitely one of my favourite textured polishes to date. To boot, the formula was really great as well. My photos show three coats.

The Nicole by OPI Gumdrops Collection is available now.

  9. Loooove the teal one! The yellow looks really cute, but my guess is it would look horrible on my pale skin tone.
