Fall polish collections typically consists of dark and vampy colours, but this year butter LONDON went a whole different route and released a bright and colourful six piece collection for Fall. Let's take a look!
Cake Hole is a nearly neon reddish pink crelly (creme/jelly hybrid). I love this colour on me! The formula was really great and my swatch shows two coats.
Cotton Buds is an opaque white creme. White polishes can be difficult, but this one was pretty good. A tiny bit patchy, but not difficult. It's not quite opaque enough to use for stamping, but I did only need two coats for full coverage.
Giddy Kippers is a pretty indigo shimmer. This is the only non-creme of the group and it definitely doesn't disappoint. It's even more beautiful in person. The formula glided on really nicely and I needed two coats for the coverage you see below.
Pimms is a warm sunflower yellow creme. Warm yellows don't typically work very well with my skin tone so I tend not to wear them as full manicures, but this is a great yellow for me to use in nail art. The formula was pretty good for a yellow, although still a teensy bit patchy. My photo show two coats.
Silly Billy is a warm medium orange crelly. Every time I use a crelly formula polish I think I fall more and more in love with them. They just glide on so beautifully. I'm wearing two coats of Silly Billy below.
Wellies is a bright chartreuse creme. Oooh, this is definitely my favourite. I love how bright it is without venturing into neon territory. It actually reminds me of OPI Did It On 'Em from the Nicki Minaj Collection, but the formula of Wellies is significantly better than DIOE. My swatch shows two coats.
Overall, I really like this collection, especially considering that it's different and stands out amongst all of the other darker, vampier colours we're going to be seeing for Fall. My personal favourites are Cake Hole and Wellies.
I posted this last week, but in case you missed it, here's a nail art look I did using all of the shades from this collection!
If you like what you see, check back in a couple of days because there might just be an extra set to giveaway. ;)
