Today I've got for you China Glaze's Fall 2013 Collection called Autumn Nights. I'm a bit later than I would have liked to be with getting this review posted, but I guess since the fall season only officially started not too long ago, I'm not that late!
Check out all 12 shades from this collection below!
Charmed, I'm Sure is a deep plum purple creme. This is a really nice purple for fall - not too dark that it looks black, but deep enough for that vampy look. This has a great creamy formula and my photos show two coats. (Also, I smudged the middle finger by accident. Sorry!)
Don't Make Me Wine is a deep wine/magenta shimmer. I love the blackened edges on this one. The formula was great and I've shown two coats below.
Goldie But Goodie is a coppery gold foil. Both this one and the next one actually feel more holiday than fall to me, but they're still nice. I like the added interest of the little flakes. The formula was easy to work with and I needed two coats for full coverage.
Gossip Over Gimlets is a silver foil with little bits of golden flakes throughout. I had to google "gimlets" because it just sounds like a silly word to me, but it turns out that a gimlet is actually a cocktail! Interesting. The name definitely makes sense now. The formula was really good and my swatch shows two coats.
Kiss My Glass is a frosty blue-grey. Blehh. I've never been a fan of frosty gunmetal type shades and this one and the next one are no exception to that. The formula was nice, but obviously very brush stroke-y. I've shown two coats below.
Public Relations is a frosty purple-grey. This is very similar to Kiss My Glass, just with more purple. Again, very brush stroke-y. This one was also a two coater.
Queen B is a dusty royal blurple creme. I really like this colour a lot. In fact, this was one of two polishes that was in the running to be worn for my engagement photo shoot this past weekend! In the end the other polish won just due to the fact that I thought it went better with our clothing choices, but this one definitely made it a tough decision. The formula was excellent - very smooth and creamy. It's also almost a one coater, though I used two for my swatch.
Red-y & Willing is a rich red shimmer. This one also feels a bit holiday to me, but I don't care because it has that beautiful glowy lit-from-within look. I love it. The formula was great and I've shown two coats below.
Rendezvous With You is a purple-silver foil. This is a good polish for fall and I can't think of anything else I have that's quite like this. The formula was great and I needed two coats for full coverage.
Scandalous Shenanigans is a glowing blue frost. Beautiful glowing blue, but unfortunately it suffers from a brush stroke-y formula. It's not as bad as the super frosty ones above, but the brush strokes are definitely still visible. I've shown two coats below.
Strike Up a Cosmo is a rosy/mauve pink foil with gold flakes. The base colour here isn't my favourite, but I do like those gold flakes a lot. The formula was great and my swatch shows two coats.
Tongue & Chic is a deep teal shimmer. You know that if there's a teal, it's going to be a favourite of mine. This one is no exception. I love this deep rich colour. It's a tiny bit brush stroke-y as well, but the colour is worth it in my opinion. The formula was excellent and I've shown two coats below.
Overall, this is a decent collection for fall, although I could do without the frosted shades personally. My favourites are Charmed, I'm Sure, Queen B, Red-y & Willing and Tongue & Chic.
